Wow! Well I really fell off the blogging wagon didn’t I?

I have been working mainly on 2 pieces. Maharajah got put away in November so that I could focus on my secret stitch and Paris.

My secret stitch is working up great with almost 5 pages complete and Paris isn’t doing so bad either. I’ll put here the progress I showed in November and where it sits today

In the last month I also started another piece which I simply chose a font for and am stitching a quote. My dear sister, 17 years of age, took her own life on the 25th of February after a battle with depression. Due to family issues I had no contact with her or the rest of my family for the past 2 1/2 years and had no idea this was even happening until I got the call from my 19 year old brother saying ‘she’s gone’. So I’m stitching this quote of hers and have plans to stitch a few other pieces to add to a memorial wall for her.

And you know in that time there has to be haul. Well actually, I’ve been very good and only buying floss as I need it for my secret stitch and the quote but with Lizzie Kate designers retiring I made sure to jump in with everybody else and get a few which just arrived along with one Ursula Micheals pattern.

And I guess that’s all for now. Hopefully I won’t be so long next time.

Happy Stitching!

  1. My sincere sympathy to you in the loss of your sister. Whether you were in close contact or not, this had to be a shock. Sending hugs and prayers your way. 😥
Your Paris cross stitch is really blooming, and you have quite a nice array of future projects collected now. Glad to have you back!
